DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION APPROVED ONLINE SUMMER COURSE FOR EPV DAYS 2025

ABOUT THIS ONLINE COURSE
This online course will equip teachers with practical, neuroaffirmative strategies that have been tried and tested in real classrooms. Teachers will learn how to create inclusive, sensory-friendly environments that support the diverse sensory needs of the children they work with.
In this course, youâll gain a deeper understanding what sensory processing is and how it affects a childâs behaviour and learning, helping you improve engagement and emotional regulation. Youâll learn how to identify sensory preferences and challenges, and adapt your teaching approach with simple, effective tools like sensory breaks, flexible seating, and sensory-friendly classroom design.
This isnât just about theory, itâs about practical, actionable strategies that you can implement right away to support sensory preferences, enhance participation, and make learning more accessible for every child. Whether youâre working with neurodivergent students or fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for all, this course offers the skills to transform your practice and improve the wellbeing of the children you work with.
With the unique combination of insights from a Senior Paediatric OT, an Occupational Therapy Assistant, and an experienced primary school teacher, this course will be your go-to resource for sensory strategies that work in the real world.
